Bismillah
I am troubled by the way Mainstream Muslims have understood the emergence of our modern species and consciousness.
They are both presented as a form of Type 3 emergence (Strongly emergent).
By Type 3 emergence I am referring to a phenomenon that cannot be predicted (even in principle) bythe laws of physics. See Prof Sean Carroll’s Podcast about his paper here: https://youtu.be/GJAj_3ZkpRM
I believe that type of Emergence is only appropriate to the Quran and other miracles; though we only really have access to the Quran.
By elevating the emergence of modern humans and even consciousness to the level of miracles I believe we are undermining the miraculousness of the Quran itself.
I believe the Quran is our main physical evidence of God and by doing the above we are undermining belief in God.
