the scholars dont have political power to give us victory….like Rasool Allah (saws) they can only give dawah…but what happens when that Dawah is not working anymore?
Khilafa will return on the Minhaj of Nubuwa
but what is that?
it means bottom up, you dont take power, the people GIVE you power because they accepted your message hook, line and sinker
in Ancient Makkah, the Elites were holding back a popular upswelling of Islam
everyone believed it, even the elites….but they cared about their power and prestige too much
so they held it back
if Ancient Makkah had democratic elections, Islam would have won without even the need for Hijrah
that thought blew my mind
well we have elections now, but Islam certainly wont win….and forcing it on people is oppression….definitely NOT Minhaj of Nubuwa
so we need to ask ourselves WHY are people Immune to the Dawah these days
and I thought about this question for a long time
and I believe that it is because The Quran when it was first revealed had the same effect on The Ancient Arabs as us witnessing a staff turning into a snake
ie it induced a sense of fear and awe in the original listeners
BUT importantly, it did not induce the same feeling in anyone since then
why?
because persians and byzantines just heard it as a foreign tongue
and Arabs who grew up with Quran already existing in the language were USED to it
the best metaphor I heard was:
imagine someone is speaking to you in Chinese (which you dont understand)
and then all of sudden, you understand everything fluently.
how shocking and scary would that experience be?
it is my belief that, that is what the Ancient Arabs experienced each time new Quran was revealed
but there is a problem….going back to the metaphor…
how long would that surprise feeling last after realizing you were now fluent in Chinese?
pretty soon, you’d say “well not sure how that happened but I guess I know Chinese now”
so you’d need that to happen for another language to get that feeling again
and so I believe it was with the Quran….and Allah certainly knows best
now if we want to know why that feeling is induced by being exposed to something entirely novel (sounds of Quran are not new but the language was, according to Prof Bassam Saeh)…….
we need to understand that our brain/mind probably works like a prediction machine……interestingly, this theory (predictive brain) would give credence to some of Kant’s philosophy
and unfortunately we know Asharis/Maturidis will reject Kant and other enlightenment thinkers
so I had to ask myself whether Kalam was an article of Faith
and when I realized it wasnt, then I felt a huge sense of relief
AlhamdAllah all our ‘Salafi’ Brothers are still Muslim even though they reject Kalam
they are considered Athari in Aqeeda I believe, instead of Ashari/Maturidi
and I mean Kalam had its place
it worked
until it didnt
since modernity, people have become immune to it
I have heard it said that Kalam is like a fortress protecting Islam
my response to that is that it has become an empty fortress because it is not letting anyone in
and people are dying of spiritual thirst out there
so we need to open the metaphorical gates and let people in
so it would seem like the ‘Salafis’ are on the Haqq right?
well problem is, if you ask them why they believe in God they say ‘Fitra’ Brother….as of that proves anything
a Christian or a Hindu could say the same thing
by Fitra they basically mean ‘innate knowledge’
which is the same thing Asharis and Maturidis believe in, but they just call it Kalam
but with more explaining
so ‘Salafis’ just say ‘I believe in God because I feel it is true’
but when you ask why, they wont know
Asharis/Maturidis will say because we know things by categorizing everything according to it’s mode (whether it is impossible, possible or necessary)
as if simply because you can imagine a white car sitting in your driveway as being black means it actually could have been black despite the deterministic physics that brought it to your driveway as a white car
look at Imam al Ghazalis epistemic crisis
he realized he couldnt prove anything
he was depressed for a couple of months
then suddenly ‘a light entered his heart’
and that light gave him confidence again in modal logic as a source of knowledge
that sounds like innate knowledge to me
a light?
with no other explanation?
a Christian could argue the same thing
this is why we are just another Religious Club
but we are different because we are the only one with a Demonstrable Miracle
The Quran
problem is we dont know how to demonstrate it’s miraculousnes
yet!
Requirements to Demonstrate it:
1 – so we need to study how Quranic Arabic is like an entirely new language compared to pre-Islamic Arabic…Prof Bassam Saeh does this in his Books and it is really obvious even to Orientalists that Quranic Arabic is totally different from Ancient Arabic
2 – we need to study the predictive brain to show how being exposed to something entirely novel causes feelings of surprise….like as a child is exposed to something entirely new for the first time and feels awe.
then we realize that something (our brain) that is entirely based on predicting things cannot actually create anything truly novel.
it can only learn existing patterns that are already out there and can then mix and match them…..ie the best a predictive brain can do is to innovate, never invent (just look at Game of Life….but maybe we need to talk about that in another post)!
putting it all together, we realize the Quran cannot come from humans or any other Predictive Brian or Arificial Intelligence
and that it most likely comes from where it says it does….
from a Creative Brain or Original Intelligence
so then for Nusrah….
imagine The Big Bang Theory or The Theory of Evolution but instead, Muslims bring ‘The Theory of God’ to the world….and people accept the Dawah in Waves….sobhanAllah….and forgive us Allah for not doing it yet 🤲🏼
